Amazing place for parents and kids! Brilliant staff! I always feel welcome, listened to, warm and happy there! Kids have all they could wish for: messy play, all sorts of toys, garden, boats, books, snacks, songs etc. There is always something going on there.
Thanks to all who contribute for this place to exist and to those who runs it and making it a cosy nest for us to meet. Love you all

Really rude and unhelpful receptionist. Sounded really put out when asked if she could point me in the right direction for a service. Not helpful if you already have some anxiety about reaching out for support.

The Barton Hill Settlement is a cluster of built offices that offer free services and help, the majority of which is aimed at the Somali community around the area. Inside there are some changes since Covid-19 such as, its cafe is closed, and there was a small shift of furniture, but the main faces that I saw there were of young people serving youth. It was pleasant to see vegetables grown in the middle area between the offices. Growing plants reflected homely friendly welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately many of those offices are occupied by charities whose services are hanging on funding possibilities. Some might end their services to the communities if their funding has ended. There is a lift for those who can't climb few steps to the second floor, this is mainly helpful for the disabled. There aren't much space allocated for parking except for ambulance but one can find a place to park in the surrounding residential area.

Lots of help to be had with different issues from health, budgeting, legal and general wellbeing.
I access a support worker who helps with all kinds of issues. This is a charity organisation staffed with angels.

Good facilities and an excellent community centre run by helpful and friendly staff. Reasonable room rates. Cafe with reasonably priced and quality sandwiches, soup and baked potatoes. Patchy and unreliable wi-fi one of the few draw backs. Small number of free internet devices. Home to lots of health and community friendly organisations.

I teach Tai Chi here on a Wednesday evening on the fourth floor terrace room. The views of Bristol are amazing and they have a large outdoor terrace space as well. It is a very community-oriented place with great vibes and friendly people. Would eagerly recommend!
