This is a beautifully appointed cottage where everything seems to have been thought of. It is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The 'welcome pack', including a cream tea, was a lovely touch. It is located in a quiet location just a few minutes' walk from Cockington village and, more importantly, the Drum Inn, yet only about five to ten minutes drive to the centre of Torquay and Paignton.

This was our 3rd stay at Cockington Cottages with Paula and Leon as it is the perfect place to stay for exploring Torquay, Brixham, Dartmouth etc. It is a quiet, picturesque location and Mallock Cottage is well-equipped, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The milk in the fridge along with the homemade scone, jam and cream is a welcome treat after a long journey. The new kitchen is lovely and the sun deck is perfect to relax on if you are lucky enough with the weather. The bedrooms are spacious and the quiet location is second to none in my opinion, even though bustling Torquay is within walking distance for most. I would definitely recommend to others.

We actually stayed at Wisteria Cottage, possibly the last people to do so as its being removed from the lettings availability as we were told by our hosts.
That said, it was the most supremely comfortable, characterful cottage we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in quite a few up & down the country, everything you could ever want, well equipped kitchen area, huge four poster double bed with memory foam mattress, underfloor heated bathroom, the works!!
But if Mallock cottage is anything remotely like what we've just experienced then any visitor then you will be in for a sumptuous treat!!

We stayed in Magnolia Cottage for a week between 4th and 11th June. The cottage enjoys a superb location close to the centre of Cockington Village. If you are looking for peace and tranquility - then this is for you but its also close to all the major attractions. In fact we left our car in the drive most of the week and used the excellent local bus service. As for the cottage, the facilities were first class. The living area was a nice size and the bedroom was comfortable and large. Paula had left us a lovely welcome pack including fresh scones, jam, cream and flowers. We would love to return in the future.

The standard of accommodation at Cockington Cottages is simply outstanding. Paula & Leon have thought of everything and have gone the extra mile to provide a comfortable, stylish and well equipped 'home from home'. The welcome pack of scones, tea & coffee and breakfast for the first morning were very much appreciated after a long journey. The booking process was very easy and Paula & Leon communicated all the arrival information very clearly.

The location couldn't be better. Cockington village provides a quiet and very picturesque setting that offers a relaxing break, while the pleasant walk to the sea front and in to Torquay is easy and provides access to local amenities and entertainment.

I would recommend Cockington Cottages without hesitation. Thank you Paula & Leon.

Outstanding- just returned from a weeks stay at this cottage. The cottage is stunning, cosy, relaxing, welcoming and equipped to a very high standard and thoroughly deserves its 5 stars. Paula and Leon have thought of everything and it is a credit to them. Location superb, on the edge of Cockington Village with lots of walks around Cockington Country Park. Would recommend to everyone and we will be returning. Thank you for the cream tea.

Just returned from a week at Mallock cottage and I can only describe it as exceptional!

We were greeted by Paula on arrival but the hospitality started before then with regular communication from Paula on our journey checking if everything was Ok and our time of arrival so she could be sure to be there to greet us.

Upon arrival Paula gave us a full tour of the property and advice on the local area. Also very welcome were the essential provisions for a brew after along day on the road.
The cream scones were a very nice touch, as were the fresh flowers.

The cottage itself is superb. the layout, decor, location, inventory, beds, lined and cleanliness were all worthy of a 5 star rating.

As new dog owners this is the first time we have travelled with our jack Russell who quickly settled and love the area which is Dog walking heaven on your doorstep. Also welcome was the abundance of tourist information within the cottage including lots of advice regarding Dog friendly pubs, beaches etc.

We travelled with our 14 year old twin boys who both loved the cottage and the area. The inclusion of WiFi and Netflix was gratefully received by them, as were the sumptuous beds in their room.

The local area is great for exploring on foot and on bike although the latter does require legs of steel and lungs like a hot air balloon. The sea front is a steady 15 minute stroll in one direction along a beautiful woodland trail. 5 minutes walk in the other direction takes you to all that the unique village of Cockington has to offer including the pub which serves good selection of food and ale.

My wife and I spend a lot of time researching before booking holidays which sometimes does not pay off. On this occasion it did. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. We are already planning our next visit later in the year..

Thank you Paula and Leon for creating this First class holiday home.
