I attended a birthday party at Coggeshall Village Hall and was pleasantly surprised. Free parking after 6:00 PM, previously i think £1, 1h for free but don't forget print and display free ticket. Reasonable price. Ample parking and easy access. Inside, there's plenty of space, a kitchen, and toilets – everything you need. I recommend this venue for hosting any kind of event.

Only there very briefly but from what I saw it's a lovely old English village/ town. Sadly choked with traffic now.

Visited this place as an exhibitor at a craft fair. An interesting building, formerly a brewery (pre 1927). The people of Coggeshall are missing a trick here, have lived in the area for decades, and was unaware of this buildings existence. It is tucked away behind the library and houses in Stoneham street. It is also the location of Coggeshall Museum, public toilets and a few metres from Coggeshall millennium garden, none of which are sign posted.

A bit chilly inside but very spacious and ideal for a birthday party. Visited as a guest so no idea about rates.

Perfect for a kids birthday, unfortunately the free WiFi has stopped working (at the time of this review) and there is no freezer in the kitchen so birthday parties on extremely hot weather days (such as this week) we couldn't bring ice poles for the kids - I had to leave the party for 30 mins of a 2 hour kids party to get some. Apart from that there are two rooms for events and both are spacious enough for 20 - 30 kids easily.

The larger room can fit a good size bouncy castle without issue.

There is no sound system so you'll have to bring your own or hire an entertainer who has one. WiFi (when working) is perfectly adequate to stream music but may struggle if you want to stream a film.

There is a large fridge and a kettle, with tea pots and mugs stored in the cupboards for use.

Prices to rent the spaces for a couple of hours are pretty good and can be well worth it given the right size crowd etc.
