We had an AMAZING time at The Chapel Inn. We had a beautiful Sunday roast and drank plenty in the evening. They had a great selection of cask ales and draft beers along with liquors, canned, and bottled beers. Their food was fantastic, but what really stood out was the kindness of the staff.

My wife and I are Americans that have traveled all over Europe, and we have found few pubs and restaurants more welcome than The Chapel Inn. They’ve got fantastic live events weekly as well. Do yourself a favor if you’re nearby and stop by The Chapel Inn for a great time with a fantastic staff.

Went for a quiet drink,very pleasant, service brilliant, great bar staff. However there was a child running round, screaming at the top of her voice, she appeared to be known to the staff ? Kids and people walking around with drinks is not a good mix. Not a place for a quiet drink. Rethink requiet re children

Absolutely gorgeous pub to be in. I'm not local but this pub is my partners local and I can see why he loves going! The bar staff were very friendly, welcoming and the pub atmosphere was lovely and I had a great time visiting I can't wait to come back and try the food! I already have my new favourite drink!

Not eaten in Chapel for a while as family with gluten free needs . Food last night was great - kids loved the GF pizza. People serving were lovely - really attentive re coeliac which means we can all relax and enjoy - really recommend

Glad we stopped for lunch, it was very good. Lovely old pub with a cosy and traditional interior. Surprisingly spacious with plenty of tables and a garden at the back.

The beer was great, well kept and fresh. Really impressed to find a selection of good ales on tap. We also had lunch, the Pizza was very nice and fresh out of a proper pizza oven. The ham egg and chips was decent as well, nice ham and well cooked eggs.

We often drive to Coggeshall for a walk, the little town is lovely. Definitely worth a visit if you want to stop for lunch or dinner.

Chef specials night. Set menu. Good food, good price! Would call to make reservation! Nice location. Nice building.

Update. We've been back a few times and always enjoyed the food. Recently the vegan and vegetarian options have been limited. Hopefully just a covid thing. A nice place to visit. A nice mixture of a local pub and smart restaurant. They have an outdoor area with seating. No actual "pub garden". Dogs welcome in the bar area which has I believe 3 tables. I don't think they're allowed in the other areas.

Our 1st visit here we called in for breakfast and it was superb! Can highly recommend the eggs benedict and the full english.
