The RNLI Cromer Lifeboat Station, located on the picturesque coastline of Cromer, Norfolk, is a vital institution dedicated to saving lives at sea. Established in 1804, it is one of the oldest lifeboat stations in the UK, with a long and storied history of maritime rescue. The station has been home to several lifeboats over the years, each playing a crucial role in numerous daring rescues.

The current lifeboat, the Tamar-class Lester, is equipped with the latest technology to tackle the challenging conditions of the North Sea. The station is manned by a team of dedicated volunteers who are on call 24/7, ready to respond to emergencies. These volunteers undergo rigorous training to ensure they can perform rescues efficiently and safely.

Great operational improvements since I first visited Cromer lifeboat as a child (about 60 years ago) . Both the Lifeboat Station and the Museum are well worth a visit

This is like a small museum that showcase the rescue boat and the amazing crew and rescue work they have done and the history of the station. A very cool exhibition house thou the actual museum is away from the pier. A must visit if you go to the pier. Just walk all the way to the end as it’s kinda hidden behind the theatre pavilion.

A piece of engineering marvel to have a working lifeboat situated on the end of the pier was just incredible with all the names of those that have served on the wall and a shop at the end. I enquired about one of their famous windbreaker jackets I see them wearing and of that was for sale but alas no, that’s just reserved for the crew! Amazing surprise to see this. Well worth the visit!

Visited Cromer Lifeboat Station last Wednesday it was an appalling day very cold and very windy so not many people about, we always go in to every Lifeboat Stations around the country and usually purchase something, however as all 4 of us and Edd our Sprocker entered the Station we were told the dog wasn't allowed in it was policy,so we all walked out spent nothing donated nothing, shame on you Cromer as there was no body in the Station only the two staff ,think you need to review your policy as my money is as good as anyone else's will never visit again

A great museum with in working life boat station! Impressive engineering, show cases the amazing work the life boat crew do! You’ll find it at the end of the pier, free entry, lots of places to give a donation as well!
