The Southern Golden Retreiver Rescue Society held their annual fun day here. It was a perfect setting. Beautifully kept grounds, a good sized tea room who's home made cakes and coffee was very welcome?!! and a very enjoyable time spent here!!? my tail didn't stop wagging!!!!

Easy to get to. Lovely, large and light with secure outside area. Kids toys were plentiful and there was a hired bouncy castle which went down well.My goddaughter actually booked the hall for her sons christening/birthday party.

We struck gold when we found this hall!

I was looking for a local hall to have a family 18th birthday party. Many halls simply won't take your booking but the lovely clerk was pleased to do so.

There are two halls at this site - the main hall (which is massive) and the new extension - The Jubilee Hall - which is the one I hired.

This is really new.
uPVC doors and windows, lovely bright wooden floor, clean bright walls, modern kitchen and clean toilets. One ladies, one disabled, one men's toilet and one urinal. This was enough for our 80 guests.

I loved the security features here - the front door automatically locks so little children can't escape and also it prevents gatecrashers.

For the smokers there was no need to go out the front door - as the hall has huge double doors at the rear which open out into a secure and unseen patio area edged with grass. This was perfect for the little ones to use while being monitored by family - there is no way anyone can get in or out.

The hall is warm as it has really good underfloor heating. I like the fact that the coat hooks are in a corner of the hall, so you can keep an eye on them and get easy access.

The kitchen is a good size but while it does have a microwave oven it doesn't have a cooker. It does have really useful hatch so everyone could use it as a bar area.

We had a very loud party - there is also a noise limiting feature which will trip all the power to prevent it getting too loud. We had it loud but never had a problem with the limiter.

It is a really great hall, with really efficient and lovely people running it.

Amazing experience for school children to learn about life as an evacuee in World War 2. Great staff with extensive knowledge. Toilets authentic to the 1940's -outside in the playground- much to some children's horror on a cold January day! A really well thought out set of activities.

Superb village hall, we've used it for our wedding reception.my daughter went there for pre school and also now brownies.
We've used it for Birthday parties,great value and a large space.
