Visited the community cafe inside the Dartford YMCA, it's fabulous.

Great selection of reasonably priced food cooked to order or cooked on the day. Really warm and comfortable surroundings to have lunch or just coffee and a cake.

Hannah and her team are so welcoming.

Give it a try, you will be surprised at this little gem. We found it by accident and now regularly visit.

The cafe here on Thursday and Friday from 12noon until 3pm is super cheap and the food is delicious.
Lovely friendly ladies who run it.
This is a well kept secret that's right in the heart of town.
Evening classes and youth group run from here.
Look out for events which are usually advertised in the window.
Children's centre right next door run some amazing groups for the under 5's and offer baby weigh clinic, young parent groups etc.
Check it out as it's an under used free resource right here in Dartford town centre.

Having used a number of services over time, I would recommend the childcare provision – the staff seem to genuinely love kids.
The restaurant although having a dated look at the Romford site does serve good meals (at great prices) and has friendly staff. The gym at the rush green venue is equipped well, although it does seem that lately, in 2015, their health/wellbeing service is ailing (ironically) , as it seems to have resorted to highly desperate gimmicks in recent months - as reported in the local press, to increase trade.
Firstly, there was the spectacle of fitness bosses wheeling out a disabled youngster (a volunteer) for the benefit of the local media. They were at it again with a second embarrassing episode as they persuaded a local reporter to go “rock climbing” which eventually turned out to be a wall…. in a room….. and... of all places'….on the ground floor!
It therefore wasn’t surprising when the wellbeing spokesperson admitted (inadvertently) that the room is “nice and quiet.”
In spite of all this, the article claimed that users would get “extra adrenaline” whilst the spokesperson, seemingly now under the same spell as the reporter, made the audacious claim that the ‘wall’ could be an “alternative to conventional fitness!”
From the local reporter’s piece, we were also informed that she boldly “scaled new heights” you can now only imagine Acrophobia creeping up on locals, but just the vertically challenged.

They have a lovely cafe Wednesday and Thursday from 10 till 2 on both days. Nice food and hot and cold drinks very relaxing atmosphere.

I went to the cafe, the staff were very nice and helpful as I hadn't been before and was not sure where it was they walked with me to show me and opened doors for me to go through in my wheelchair, the cafe was clean and staffed well by very helpful people very friendly the service and prices were very good, when I left they showed me an alternative entrance that will be easier in my wheelchair, highly recommended

Great gym, great diner and to think my money is reinvested back into those in the greatest of need makes it all feel a lot sweeter.
