Wow where do I start!! I was homeless and was contemplating giving up on life. Then I found my saviors when nobody could help me the team at lancashire shelter Blackburn did. Wayne and the managers and the receptionist were ace. It was a difficult case but they Persevered to the end up until they got me what I wanted and that was a roof over my head. I will never forget what they did for me for the rest of my life. Thank you. Ami

No continuity with advisers. Some are better than others. There seems to be a high turnover with them as just when you get used to one adviser you get assigned to another.

Some of the advisors don’t get back to you or respond to their emails - like Asma Khatun and Teegan. Asma seems to be off sick a lot and she also gave me incorrect advice on benefits. Fortunately I went to Citizens advice bureau and got the right advice. Thankfully I didn’t act on her advice but that shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

Visited Shelter Blackburn yesterday on 19/5/22 to book an appointment for my PIP appeal and another appointment to see my advisor for my mental health.
The women on the reception desk called JANE was and is always helpful and she sorted both appointments out within 5-10 mins.
Great customer service and patient throughout.
