A great day out for all the family. The hangers are rammed with history and lots of help to hand on explaining the exhibits. Allow for a full day, long hours in summer to get your full value and to get around the hangers. Nice cafes and friendly staff. We had an Arts Pass so only £13 per person otherwise it would have been £26.

I would thoroughly recommend loads to see and do. We really enjoyed our visit and loved seeing all the planes. It would be nice to visit during one of the airshows, and it's on my to-do list!

My only complaint was that there were a lot of schoolchildren visiting, which I think was a great learning opportunity for them. However, I came across one group in the American section running around playing tag, and the ones that were looking at things, case and point. What is this giant concrete foot? Why did it get graffiti on it? I didn't bother to look at the plaque, and there was no teacher on site! It was a shame, as it was a section of the Berlin Wall that he was referring to!

Anyway, overall, it's a great place worth a visit! 4.9 stars

Lovely museum, great exhibitions and planes flying throughout the day. Friendly staff. Great location. Very well put together. It's a great museum. The shop and the restaurant are nice places too. They also offer(ed) flights in historical aircraft if you're interested. Would definitely recommend the museum to anyone.

A fantastic day out seeing planes and other equipment from World War I up to today.

So many interesting hangers to visit to see not only the well-preserved but those in the course of restoration.

Concorde is a must see and absolutely fascinating especially as its one of the increasing number of planes which you can go on board.

Just go, it's wonderful!

Went there a few weeks ago and became a member so went back today as this place is way too big to be covered in one day. We went to the American hangar today and it was awesome! B52 bomber and F15 are there, as well as SR71 Blackbird and A10 Thunderbolt. Really made my day! Then we went to the tank museum, read a lot of history about WW2 in Asia there. Really recommend this place, it's good for families and any one who loves planes. Special thanks to the minibus driver who took us to the American hangar. Walking back to the reception we passed nice big passenger planes and many beautiful little planes that took off and landed like every 10 mins on the runway. Definitely 5 stars.

We attended as part of a school trip, we learnt so much about ww2 and the role IWM Duxford played. If you're interested in learning about these things it's worth a trip. You're able to go into some of the air crafts and see how they were from the 60/70/80s. Lots of walking though so be prepared.

Incredible, simply too much to write about. Four, maybe five huge buildings absolutely crammed with aircraft from all eras. Some you can get up close to and even inside such as the prototype Concorde.
You'll need a full day to see it all but absolutely worth every penny.

A truly amazing place to visit for not just aircraft but military vehicles, a gun from the rock of Gibraltar, a V1 rocket on its launch ramp and the battle of britain ops room experience is a must see . We booked on the lancaster experience and Derek our guide was fantastic. Good cafe and loads of toilets dotted about the place . Can't wait to go back .
