We were at Duxford to complete an experience at the Aerial Collective and included was an admission to the IWM here.
We only had time to visit 2 of the 4 hangars as the Spitfire flight took almost half a day of our time.
I would recommend ensuring you have a whole day to take in all there is to see and do here.
The pictures are from the Fighter Collection hangar.
It is a very large display area and there are a huge number of displays to take in!
Some wonderful aircraft in the collection and they are well displayed with excellent information cards.
As an added bonus this is an active aerodrome so you may see warbirds on the taxiways and even flying!
Check the schedule for the annual airshow - although you may get a mini show from aircraft flying during good weather days.
Easy access from London by train and lots of parking if driving.

Part of the IWM Duxford. No additional fee needed.

This hangar is filled with flight-ready or working-to-be flight worthy aircraft.

"Here our partners restore, maintain, and prepare for flight, privately-owned historic aircraft."

Part of the Duxford site. This area houses the WW2 fighter collection. Access can sometimes be restricted due to aircraft movements, but we found other things to see, until access was available again.

It's amazing how much effort goes into getting all these planes back into the air.

A fantastic collection of classic fighter aircraft kept in airworthy condition. It's amazing to be able to see the aircraft being worked on, and the standards to which they are maintained.
