EDIT - the below review is for the Age UK shop at 45 Cliffe High Street, NOT the other Lewes Age UK shop a few doors up at number 54, who have always had friendly staff playing decent music.

Felt compelled to write a rare review after appalling customer service in this branch of Age UK. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and this after donating hundreds of pounds worth of stock; it was utterly bizarre. There are lots of great charity shops in Lewes with decent people working in them. I'll never donate to Age UK again out of principle.

Went into this charity shop today (45 Cliff High Street) with my lovely dog only to be told very rudely that no dogs were allowed... This must be the only shop in Lewes you an not take a dog anymore, they are even welcome in cafe's, a bizarre decision made worse by rudeness of executing the ruling! No wonder it was empty and all the others were buzzing, and patting my dog too.
