A La Ronde is a true little gem in Devon. A little bit out of the way, the home is unique in its design, and the tour of the grounds is a must. There is parking there and a little place for a cafe, not for indoor seating to eat, just outdoors, but there is cover. The house has 3 floors and the guides are very informative. Lovely little place to go and see.

Nice little national trust site.
Maybe a hour or two visit due to size.
Much to see (if you like shells your in heaven).
Nice piece of history around the building and development of the site.
Plenty of parking.
Staff friendly, what ever you do don't touch the shells take it from me you get told off.. haha oops.

What an incredible place this is, really worth the walk from Lympston Village or from the bus which stops on the main road.
Apart from the incredible design and architecture of the house, the story behind it of the two female cousins is inspirational. They were definitely women beyond their time. Their determination to be independent while also leaving a legacy for future generations of women is a story appropriate to the 21st century.
The grounds are also beautiful, the chapel where the cousins are interred is a really emotive place to visit.
There is the usual National Trust gift shop and second hand book shop, no cafe as such but a refreshment truck in the grounds.
Well worth a visit if you are near Exmouth.

This is another fine example of a national trust property. There is a lot more to this property than meets the eye. There are guides on hand to explain each room and a guided tour of the grounds and its history.

Great cafe/ toilets
