Was a good little field for dog walking, the gated enclosure was great for nervous dogs and others with no recall to exercise. Now this has all been ripped up and trees cut down to make way for a flood defence project. Disturbed lots of nesting and roosting birds and bats.

I know these playing fields & heal from the regular Car Boot Sales that are held every. Sunday morning from March to Oct/Nov depending on the weather! It is a wonderful practical location with excellent car parking options in the heart of Thatcham! Recommended for those wanting to hunt for antique bargains early on Sunday Morning!

Nice sized open field with path through from the A4 to the Whitelands estate. There is also a separate fenced section for dogs if you want to let them off in a more secure area rather than the whole field. Can get busy with dog walkers in the mornings though.

Often used for events such as car boot sales etc so not always totally empty.

It was a great open green area. For ball sports. No play equipment. Rubbish bins are filled up with soil, where rubbish gets put on top,and gets blown all over fields. the dog waste bins are usually full. Local dog walkers bring carry bags to put dog bags in. They also pick up broken bottles, general rubbish.

Went here for the Sunday car boot which is very good - most weeks they are packed with sellers - my only niggle is paying £2 to get in before 9am (£1 after 9am)
