---This review was sent to the management email for the venue to avoid public posting, but after receiving no response I am forced to post this here---

My friend and I came to see a comedian as part of the Oxford comedy festival.

The positives:
- one of the ladies who served us at the bar was very friendly and the gents on the door seemed nice.

The negatives:
- the venue was incredibly hot; there were no fans whatsoever, and many people complained about how uncomfortable it was inside. I have a condition that makes me sweat excessively at the best of times and the heat inside ruined the show for me. Having some fans running in a warehouse building is not a big ask, and should be common sense.

- one of the staff members, who had been very abrupt all night (such as when I asked where the loos were,) took my friend's drink out of his hand unannounced , and without any explanation, and poured it into a different container. My friend was so taken aback that he didn't even know what to say at the time.
The employee who did this described himself as "the caretaker" of the bar.

- I relayed the problem about the bar being too hot and his response was "fair enough."

I didn't want to post this on a Google review because I don't believe in penalising businesses because of one staff member. However, I would suggest some retraining of this particular employee, as he has alienated at least two customers, and I won't be coming back to tap social any time soon.

Deadleg comedy on Monday night is definitely the most unique and memorable night I’ve been to in a very long time. Band, original and very funny comedy. Very welcoming night!

Love this venue great space for the amigos to play there vinyl's and for people to dance the night away .
Had a great time playing my vinyl's DJ Dee was in the building . 9/12/2023
Great bar with lots of different beers to try if that's your thing . Also outside the front door are freshly made ?. X

Lord of fun. The staff is accommodating and cheerful and the food very good. There were 14 of us and everything was delicious.
The second round of bloody Marys was surprisingly... sweet (?!?), but it did not matter much by then

A night of loving niceness happened at the Tap Social this weekend. Everyone had a fabulous time dancing to the vinyl selection of SkyLarkin hosting Reggae Redemption.
The staff really are a lovely, friendly and positive team of servers who always contribute to making Tap a great place to visit, meet friends, make new ones and have the best time.

I look forward to partying with you all again real soon. Thank you so much ?

Tap Social is one of the best venues in Oxford by miles. Staff is always lovely and very friendly + relaxed and chilled. Drinks are great if you're into drinking and their events are always top class. Can't recommend them enough so just go and see for yourself.

Great venue and DJ with dance floor, excellent in-house beer, seating on 2 levels, food van, outdoor seating. A hidden gem in Oxford for the discerning beer drinker who likes dancing in a relaxed atmosphere.
