Not a housing association out there to help people! When it comes to selling they don’t actually help you sell but expect a cut from the sale it’s actually laughable.
Also your ‘complaints procedure’ if you can call it that!! Is the worst I have ever dealt with within any company. You email your complaint and they reply no & your complaint is closed take it up with the housing ombudsman if you don’t like it. How backwards of a company

I'm a now leaving an updated review in regards to the longhurst group housing association. I have in the past left a review that was completely honest and very detailed in regards to the treatment that longhurst offers and implements with it's clients and the service and treatment has been extremely low and poor. So poor it affected me and my mental health to the point of extreme distress. The main issues I see are 1: when you speak to a longhurst operative on phone I truly believe they have the beat intentions for you the problem is they are just the start of the road to getting the issues with the extreme poor living conditions that there tenants have to live in. They actually have no say or power in getting jobs or does repairs fixed they can only listen and advise. The repairs themselves are done by sub contractors and in my experience the service the offer and implement is shocking and longhurst have a hand in this as they deal with them pay them etc and sometimes they just take there word on the work being completed and in the case of the appointments themselves they rarely attend, miss appointments or cancel in the time the tenant is staying in waiting for them. If longhurst truly care about there tenants and there health physical and mental they should really take a long look at getting a more component and better work ethic companies that they use for repairs and deal with tenants. Not all the sub contractors are of poor quality and service but when the tenants are tret so poorly it seriously needs to be looked at. And when a tenant contacs longhurst you may find the issue of not being listened to or trusted. I hope now that my issues do get resolved as I believe I finally found a longhurst worker who is championing for me to try and get the issues resolved and has my best interests at heart. Once I get these problems sorted I will be in a much place, I will keep the review updated as we go along. As for any any other tenants who are having the same or similar treatment/issues I truly feel for you. Stay strong keep all information and calls logged etc and details for proof and future reference so you can show how and when you have been treated and I to hope that eventually we all get across that finish line in regards to getting appointments missed and partially missed and jobs finally getting completed to a satisfactory standard . Several of us residents have Been trying to get L&H to fix our car park lighting for 3 years now, which they are responsible for. Passed pillar to post and no resolution. Considering we pay for maintenance of these, strange they don’t want to fix these.
Tbh we don’t think they will ever fix them, as we have lost confidence in them.
We don’t want to put in a complaint about this attitude, even though we have every right to, as this we not solve the situation.
We just want them to do there job.

Terrible housing company, would advise Nobody to move in to a longhurst group, a little jobs taking them 6 months and I’m still waiting, no window at all flats been left freezing for 6 months and still nobody’s fixed the issue!
Iv lived here a year and I have damp, salt all in the wall damaging the paint really effecting the way I live and still nobody’s been out and sorted it, Maybee because it’s such a big job? And they’re all lazy? Cheers much appreciated longhurst!

Hi, please could you inform the relevant person involved in fixing the street lights in the communal carparks, that the lights that serve aintree way and sandown drive bourne Linc's, that are situated off aintree way have not been working for over 3 years now.
It has been impossible to get this problem rectified by the normal channels.
These are the responsibility of the longhurst group.
When phoned previously,were told that someone was coming to fix these twice now, however no one actually turned up.
The one time they did a year ago, they never actually fixed them
This would be appreciated very much if this could be done for us, as this carpark we feel is unsafe at night

after my aunt died on 7th june i made 4 calls to longhurst to try to obtain information on what was expected of me, i was given no advice, just passed around various depts. and fobbed off, no condolences just told to pay a months rent whilst i clear the property and if not to their standard a hefty fine would be imposed. i took legal advice and was told this is very wrong and as i had no contract with them to sign nothing and walk away, posting the key to them and clearing and cleaning to a good standard, with no crib sheet to work to especially. i would have left 0 stars if i could at that point.. however i have given 3 stars after writing to them in detail, my case was responded to same day and with almost instant emails from simone, a lettings advisor. she was very professional and human, she was most helpful and closed matters swiftly and to my satisfaction and is the only credit to your company we found at a very stressful time, hopefully she can take this experience elsewhere where she will no doubt be highly valued in future, as too good for longhurst.

Thanks for your follow up Emily, yes of course I can spend time going over matters in detail (again) via your complaints form, highlighting the mostly poor service received from Longhurst. My fee for this would be £175, let me know if that works for you and I'll forward you my bank details.

Lovely Longhurst ladies(esp Estelle,Michelle,jade etc. Took it seriously sorting out the bad problem’s we was having in the street, did it the best they can(a gd way), these probs take a bit of time no matter where you are, they still stayed in contact. Gd pro helpful job was done.
