Brilliant delivery, 2 strong men, best service ever..

Firstly a massive thank you to the team at Weldmar, everyone from the lady that served us in the outlet to the delivery men. They arrived promptly and we had a large delivery including a bed and a heavy wardrobe. The two fantastic delivery men that arrived greeted me with smiles and a good morning (even though it was raining). I explained that my husband had just come out of hospital and asked would they mind carrying the things upstairs. They did so placing everything where is was to go. Nothing seemed too much trouble. I have never received such service. I wanted to tip them but they wouldn’t hear of it. Thank you once again you literally made my day.

Popped into Weldmar yesterday, fairly late in the afternoon, so staff could be forgiven for looking forward to closing the doors, but my Husband and I has such a great welcome from Matt, you would never know it was nearly closing time. Chatting to customers is such a simple thing, but it can make a huge difference and really make you smile. Sadly not everyone possesses that ability, so Matt, if the opportunity to manage our local branch ever comes up, I do hope you go for it!

I can’t believe how rude and unhelpful my experience at both the Shaftesbury and Gillingham shops has been, admittedly I turned up to both shops without first enquiring if they they were accepting donations but at both shops all I got was “no, not today” no thank you or a suggestion that I return another day etc..
This comes after an attempt to donate some furniture earlier in the year.. we contacted Shaftesbury on 2 occasions to find out if they wanted to collect..on both occasions was told that “we don’t know if we’ll sell it.. people often give us rubbish” not a suggestion of an inspection/photos etc..
In the end we managed to sell some ourselves for £600+.. and the rest we gave away to people who needed them.
Such a shame that when we are hearing how poorly funded hospices are that you should miss out on what would and will have been healthy donations

Certainly my favourite charity shop. Nice big, almost warehouse full of useful stuff! Definitely recommend their kitchen section, always has lots of nice goodies there to grab. Also, a nice selection of yarn and other craft bits and bobs. They sell nice furniture also.

I was clearing my mother's flat and I was able to donate lots of good quality items.
In addition, the team visited with a van to take away furniture. The service was free, but they would not take items they did not think would sell. I think this is fair enough, but it means you'll need a back up option when house clearing.
Parking at this out of town location is easy and free. This is great for dropping off donations.
There is a very large display area.
The shop is professionally run.
