This charity shop could be amazing if the staff were not so rude!! I took a bag of donations in that was all brand new, bags shoes and a coat. The lady first of all looked through it all and then said you need to book next time you can’t just turn up. I said sorry and that I didnt realise. She told me to take it and leave it at the door. So I did then another lady came from out the back and said excuse me what are you doing we can’t take that you havnt booked so you cant leave it here !! I said to her well I can take it home again!! When I told her the other lady said I could leave it she said who told you that and I had to point her out !! won’t be donating to them again as it’s too much trouble for them!! So rude and grumpy. I don’t know why they work there they just scare customers away !

We have just come back from the hospice shop having our donations refused because they were busy! We rang Friday being told we could take them down Saturday which we couldn't do, or Monday ( today ). The lady on the door wasn't at all helpful & wanted us to see how busy they were! 9 people on her list! We took our donations elsewhere which were very gratefully received. Heart of kent has missed out permanently ! We also bought items that hospice has missed out on. Won't be going back!

From Purchasing to delivery i cannot thank Them Enough, I have social anxiety + disabilities, however I was treated by the staff with such a high degree of service that is rare to find in some other shops. Thankyou
Plus a massive thanks to the delivery guys for their politeness, their honesty and kindness ?

This is a shop that that still has that human feel and good quality products from clothes to furniture. I am looking forward to visiting again soon...

This location in Hall Road is more like a mini departmental store rather than a shop. It is in the old premises of Royal Mail's sorting office. It has a large variety of items for sale at superb prices including large furniture items, clothing, books, china, records, CDs, DVDs, toys and many items that you would'nt expect. There is free parking at the front with more spaces at the rear. The volunteer staff and management are very helpful. They have a booking list for donations to comply with COVID precautions. A great place to visit as you do not know what you will find!

Very disappointed with the staff member who picked up the phone, (lady, old sounding) ! We have just refurbished a few of our rooms in our house and have upgraded all of our furniture! The furniture we have replaced was in very good condition, something someone would have appreciated and of course the money would have gone towards something worthwhile. instead the lady was rude and very unhelpful, I said I had a few loads ( I would have guessed I had around £800 of preowned quality furniture) and asked when they were open until? the lady advised they were not taking donations. I asked why that would be I have something of worth to someone? and she said because they are not! I said that it needs to go, wheather or not it’s donated or to the tip but the lady said take it to the tip! It breaks my heart, people like this are able to work at charitable places of good work! I have looked at a few comments on here before to see I am not the only one! I can’t believe on the amount of revenue your turning away, all because you can’t be bothered. Your also going to discourage people from donating a second time round! Unfortunately another good thing let down by the selfish actions of an individual!

My favourite charity shop ever, until today. I go to look around the shop nearly every week and have spent a small fortune, as well as lots of donations. This afternoon my partner and I were looking around the shop, me with a face mask and my partner with a badge stating that he is exempt. I got to the till and was paying when I heard something going on. The manageress I believe said to my partner that if he won't stop coughing he should leave the shop. He has COPD, hence the badge and no mask. He could not believe what he was hearing, and this was said outloud in front of staff and other customers. Needless to say he is now refusing to ever step foot in the shop again and no more donations. I am seriously considering the same. A letter of complaint will be drafted and posted next week to Head Office!

I took a mirror and a picture to the Heart of Kent warehouse at Aylesford yesterday. The picture was large at 5ft x 2ft but was in excellent condition. Many of my friends & family admired it but was unfortunately too large for my house. I handed both in to the man at the deliveries door and got back in my car and drove round to the back car park. As I was parking I saw the same man breaking the picture up and putting it in the skip. This seemed very thoughtless to me as , even if the item was unwanted by them, at least this man should have had the tact and diplomacy to wait until the donor was off the premises before breaking it up. Needless to say I will not buy or donate anything there again.
