I have been going to this Bronx VA location since 1988, when it was my very 1st visit to the ER. The Dr's and nurses gave me exceptional treatment, both in the ER and as inpatient. I didn't start using this facility again until about 2019. And let me tell you that for me nothing has changed. I still receive excellent care both as inpatient and outpatient. It's has far better quality than Montefiore!!!!

It’s incredibly frustrating how the staff at this VA blatantly disregards patients' time. They say one thing and do another, with no consideration for the fact that veterans have lives and responsibilities beyond sitting in their waiting rooms. The inefficiency is appalling—everything drags on, and it's clear the staff have zero concern for the needs of their patients. This is aimed squarely at the support staff, not the doctors. The doctors are great, but good luck getting to see them. The receptionists in every department I've been to tarnish the VA’s reputation.

If you're a veteran just transitioning out of service, my advice is simple: do not come to this VA. Head to Montross or Castle Point instead, because hours—if not days—of your life will be wasted here just sitting in the waiting area.

? When I was discharged from the Army, I was sent to this hospital for evaluation. There were negative and positive results this hospital served me. I would keep the staff who are caring and terminate those who neglect the patients in this facility. This facility is in an area where there is high crime. Thanks to the present governor and mayor. May God bless, forgive, and help U.S. all. ?

Good morning, I wentto the hospital on June 2 for severe pain in my stomach and throwing up all day .. The nurses laugh at the he top of there lungs. I thought I was at a club. They had no respect for us veterans who are genuinely sick . My nurse came back to see me my eyes are as close.and said I was sleeping .All you have to do is say my name . I would open my eyes. They gave me some nausea medicine and fatimotidine...(They could give me no fluids since my blood pressure was high the nurse said). When I went to pickup my medicine. The nurse behind the house window call some stat nurse to take m back. She said that didn't look good at all . My intake nurse said they gave me pain pills .which they did not .They police brought me me a chair to sit in . I didn't want to go back need some rest. . I went back in a wheelchair. And my nurse saids there is nothing more she could do for me . So I left. . First time here

This and more disgusting violations and general rudeness from e.r staff during a non busy Saturday night in which my grandfather, a war veteran who is fighting cancer- was stuck without a bed for 17 hours.

This is the fastest most professional ER spot to go to as a veteran. Don’t go to Montifiore lol unless you want to spend 10 hours there. The VA ER had me in and out within 90 mins. It was magical lol
