I found out about KIA from my son's nurse and had seen charity donation pots dotted around Dunstable, so decided to check it out. I met the owner and admin team who gave us a tour and they were absolutely lovely. I expected their kindness to be reflected in the other employees at least a little bit but the case was the opposite. Most did not engage with the kids at all and just sat on their phones or talking to each other. I wanted some help trying to connect a controller to a console, to which when I asked an employee they tutted, snatched the controller from my hand and told me sometimes the controllers get mixed up, yet didn't even help me find the working/right controller. I wanted to complain but they weren't wearing any name tags/badges as far as I could see.
I would say: pay a visit as the price is alright for the amount of activities there are, but don't expect much from the volunteers.
