Tammy is an absolute wonderful advocate for SPED kids. She holds schools accountable for their educational responsibilities for students. She will question their decisions, and request what's in the best interest of the individual child in question. She helped me with my child and guide me in how to handle the school/district and supported me in every ARD. The district/teachers/principal were less likely to try to bully me with her attending the ARDs as our advocate. She listened to what I wanted and was there for me and helped me fight for my child.

Dr. Tammy Cyra has been instrumental in helping our children become successful in a broken school system that otherwise would not provide the accommodations needed for student success. Dr. Cyra has been an amazing advocate for our family over the last 5 years. She has been there through the diagnosis of both our son and our daughter. She is a very good listener and thinks outside the box to come up with creative solutions. She is one of the most compassionate people I know and works tirelessly for our family. She consistently seeks to get the right accommodations in place for success and she strives to work with the school district to hold them accountable to follow them.

She has supported our family through our son going to alternative school after being bullied; he fought back because the teachers were not addressing the issues. We were able to overturn the alternative school decision at the district level and have the duration shortened from 8 to 2 weeks. She also helped us file a grievance with the state for the teachers not following accommodations, and they were held liable. We have also been able to get the district to agree to additional tutoring when a math teacher did not do her job or accommodate our daughter, causing her to fall behind. The school provided the department chair to tutor her until she was back on track.

When our daughter was going through some insomnia, anxiety and other health issues Dr. Cyra was able to advocate for her to have late arrival to help her get the sleep she needed and she was able to leave class a few minutes early to reduce her anxiety in the busy high school hallways. Dr. Cyra has been able to help reduce the stress and anxiety of both of our children through the accommodations she fought for in their 504 plans. We are eternally grateful for Dr. Cyra because she has made a significant impact on the success of our students. They are thriving and are on the A/B honor roll. I attribute their success to her hard work advocating to meet their needs. Thank you Dr. Cyra for your empathy, compassion and tenacity to help our children succeed! We love you and highly recommend her!

Dr Cyra is a blessing in disguise. We relocated to Texas and our biggest concern in relocation was to find a best school for my son and she personally spent so much effort to find him the best school. She personally picked schools, arranged meetings and helped us relocate near the school where our son could get the best services. We couldn't thank her enough and she continues to follow up and help us in every possible way and we will continue to get her support.
