I visited the area this weekend with the family and stayed just up the road at the local holiday park. We visited the Rifle Volunteer for drinks on Saturday and were impressed with the hospitality, so we booked a meal for the following afternoon. We weren't disappointed. We were seated in a lovely room adjacent to the bar, which was lovely. The food was fantastic, and the kids played a selection of board games that were available. Definitely come back again when we are back in the area.

We met up with our friends who are a regular customer of Rifle volunteer. I passed this place so many times when I'm working in community. At first, I don't understand why my friend seems to like this place?

When we finally joined them to have lunch I am impressed how bright, clean and tidy inside. The staff are accomodating and friendly. The service was good and my other half was very happy with the Thai Curry he ordered.

Me and my friend and her husband had the belly pork. Her husband thought that my partner's meal was part of his meal. He said there's not much foods on his plate ? Me and my friend likes belly pork but a little disppointed because the skin was tough to cut and chewy to eat, not crunchy or crackling enough. Maybe next time I will chose a different meal. The whole experience was lovely. Thank you Rifle Volunteer staff ?

Lovely evening last night. Christmas set menu for 6 of us. Plenty of food and more vegetables arrived quickly when we requested more for us big eaters. Food was delicious. Maybe it could have been warmer but very tasy and beautifully presented. Live music later was lovely, acoustic guitar and singer. We asked to be moved to a quieter area as we were unable to hear each other and fortunately there was a table free in another part of the restaurant which we moved to and continue talking to each other. Staff were also great, friendly, professional and helpful. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

I run a local group of Red Hatter ladies who meet at the Rifle every month. We have lunch and do our own thing in the afternoon from a chat to silly games. A few times a year the Rifle let us use the function room for free to raise money for charities. The food is always fab and Paul, Emma and all the staff are always friendly and helpful no matter what we get up to!!

A nice place for a meal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They managed to fit us in this evening for food and we're glad they could. We sat in a nice conservatory with a fantastic view. The Thai green curry was amazing. The fish, burger and nachos that the others had were nice as well. The bonus was it was dog friendly as well. We would visit again.

What a find! It doesn’t look hugely exciting from the road, but it’s beautiful inside and has STUNNING views out the back.
There are so many different places to sit.
The staff were all really friendly and up for a laugh which always makes a huge difference.

The food was absolutely delicious. We went mid afternoon so pleased to find somewhere serving food then. They had a light bites menu which was as perfect. My son, the self proclaimed burger connoisseur, said it’s the best chicken burger he’s ever had!!

If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll 100% be going there again!
