I dropped my rental van to this location after picking it up from Bristol. I dealt with James at Bodmin and he was exceptionally helpful, courteous and professional (over the phone and in person). I couldn't have been happier with the service he provided, especially when running operations by himself at the branch. Very impressed with how James handled the vehicle handover and would be delighted to deal with him again in future.

Ideal if you want a no-nonsense experience that's easy-going and reliable!

Poor service overall from indifferent & at times vindictive staff.

Firstly, on both the collection & pickup events the branch declined to pick up/collect us from Bodmin station, despite being given multiple hours notice. On the return, the branch stated this needed to be booked in advance, yet didn’t tell us this on the collection day.

When dropping the car back, the staff member checking the car in went straight to (almost like he knew it was there…) a small cut on the near side front tyre, claiming it was fresh damage and I would be charged for this. I pointed out the cut was very small and superficial, with no cords exposed, but “due to our insurance requirements” the tyre would need to be replaced, and a chargeable item.

Fortunately, I had photographs taken upon collection of the car, clearly showing the damage to be pre-existing and present when the car was collected.

This being the case, I question why the car was loaned to me in such a condition it would compromise the insurance requirements. Have I been driving without insurance while hiring the car…?

The engine oil level was also on minimum, noted when I filled with fuel after collecting, which I raised at the start of the hire via email with the branch, asking if they wanted me to take any action. They did not respond.

Overall, the quality and maintenance of the car appeared to be very poor, some of which Enterprise Bodmin clearly tried to blame me incorrectly for.

Update 20/9/24 - Enterprise customer services have not been in touch a week later, despite me contacting them on the day via the link they provided. Says it all, really!

The Manager Hywel is a really helpful guy. I was due to have a car on rental from them on my insurance as someone kindly hit it and grazed the paint over the rear right wheel arch and rear right passenger door. Long story short, the guy that damaged my car will pay for the damage so cancelled the claim and of course the hire car. Hywel was really helpful though and if I need to hire a car I would definitely go there.

Hired a van from Bodmin Enterprise, this was my first time hiring a vehicle so was a complete novice on the whole process but from start to finish it was a very easy and pleasant experience and would highly recommend the gents and young lady down at the Bodmin location. They were extremely busy on pick up and drop off but their customer service was exemplary. The van itself was absolutely faultless as well.

After booking the car for the next day, getting the confirmation email and taking the money out of my bank account. They then phone the morning of the collection to say they have no cars available. They processed to blame me for booking on a bank holiday, I'm sorry but what's the point of the automated booking if it doesn't work! Enterprise needs to fix this and not blame the customer. Now I have to wait for my money back when they can't sort a car out, not even bothering to try other sites to help.
