Been drinking in this pub for years - for some reason my son was selected for a random search whilst we were standing at the bar ( after 4 hours). We declined as we felt this was an invasion of our privacy and a completely inappropriate course of action given we had been there for since early afternoon.

The manager clearly has something to prove and is intent on alienating as many loyal customers As possible.

Utterly disgraceful conduct.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Fatling and, unfortunately, it was not the experience we had hoped for. Having booked our table two months in advance and confirmed it through email and phone, we were excited to bring our guests to this pub after our ceremony.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with indifference. The two staff members at the desk didn't even acknowledge us. It took a full ten minutes before they finally asked "next please," despite us being the only ones waiting. When my husband mentioned our reservation, the girl at the desk insisted there was none. She called over a lady named Carly, who loudly and rudely proclaimed that we didn't have a reservation, causing quite an embarrassment in front of our guests.

After showing Carly our email conversation, she acknowledged the mistake but offered little in the way of an apology. Instead, she pointed to a couple of free tables inside, noting that the outside area was full. We reluctantly took one of these tables as it was too late to find another venue.

The service throughout the evening was poor. One staff member, in particular, seemed irritated every time we placed an order, despite us spending a significant amount of money. While our friends were gracious and we managed to have a good time despite these issues, the overall experience was disrespectful and disappointing.

I would not book this venue again and cannot recommend it to others. We expected better treatment, especially on such a special occasion ?

Had lunch today ? inside the pub,chicken tikka masala for my partner and all day breakfast for me.both meals very tasty..didn't wait long for food and barmaid very friendly. The pub is very clean and always kept nice.beer garden great in good weather. To cold to sit outside at the moment but lovely and warm inside.

Watch Denmark England ? game today, great atmosphere in beer garden, shame we only get draw 1-1.

Decided to watch the Arsenal game here today, which we do on a regular basis! Been in the pub for over a good 1hr30, making trips to the bar etc. My husband and son were waiting at the bar when two security men in their vests came upto us and said they had to search my son Been in there long enough spending money and being respectful that this was not expected or warranted. Unfortunately these want to be big men, should spend their precious time being concerned with the real trouble makers in their pub, rather than a father and son having an afternoon drink whilst watching the football. Now we all appreciate that it was not that long ago you had to close due to an incident!!!! Maybe if your big men had done there job properly then you would not have had to close!!!!! Terrible service, Terrible attitude, disrespectful and disappointing security who should maybe go on a course! Will never return!

Me and my mates has the best day. Food was really nice and good price aswell. Loads of main dinners for £7. We stayed later as was enjoying ourselves and as it got later a DJ started and it was so good. We were planning on leaving at like 9 but we stayed until the end !!!

Lovely oasis in the heart of Hornchurch. Great indoor and outdoor areas. Love watching all the available sports on the many available TV. Can't be beaten on the lovely sunny day. Great food. Excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff.
