This was a year ago, but I called PDAS for help about my experience of domestic and financial abuse. I was desperate. One of the caller on PDAS was extremely dismissive of my experience and told me that they couldn't understand my situation and that I was ungrateful for not accepting the fact that I was suffering from financial abuse, because in their words, it was a given to give money to your parents. I really want to recommend this service, but because of my past experience, I feel like it would be very traumatic to people who are seeking help from PDAS to receive the same type of treatment as me. You never know if your response could've made someone heavily suicidal or not. I really hope PDAS could find better staff that are able to "understand" our issues and have the patience to listen.
