I work in the Old Library building and regularly eat in the café. The cafe is very spacious and has a lovely outside seating area in the walled garden.

The food is always good and has a great selection that caters to everyone. There are always delicious daily specials available, especially for vegetarians and a fabulous selection of cakes.
The staff are very friendly and super helpful. They always try to accommodate the customers needs, I particularly like that they can help you build your own breakfast!
Don't feel intimidated if you turn up on Wednesday morning and find a large group of ladies, who meet for their weekly Knit and Natter session. They love the bright spacious area and also come for the food and cakes!
I would highly recommend a visit to this cafe, especially if you are vegetarian.

We came as a family to celebrate A Level results with a brunch. Pancakes and French Toast were a definite hit, the Coffee was top notch and you can't beat a BLT. We are a mixture of veggie and meat eaters and it can be really hard to please us all at once but The Old Library hit the spot. One of the bet bits was how affordable it all was - we will definitely be coming again.......

Our new favourite place. Great, friendly helpful cafe that offers a variety of gluten and vegan options at affordable prices. Clean and welcoming atmosphere with a little sun trap garden to the rear.
