Queen’s Park Community Organisation (QPCO ) has been instrumental in working with and supporting the survivors during the 30th Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Their dedication to remembrance and community support is truly commendable. Their dedication enables collaboration work with survivors to create a safe space to share their stories and ensured that the memories of those lost are honoured with dignity. QPCO continues to work with and to empower the survivors in taking their stories in some schools in Bedford to ensure that the young generation learn what happened during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi as much as they learn about the Holocaust. A truly compassionate and impactful organisation.

we were lucky to partner with QPCO to deliver a project to improve access to services and events for the deaf community in Bedford. Thanks to Marie-Ange at QPCO we were able to deliver BSL classes in schools in Bedford, as well as co-hosting our 'Signs of Unity' BSL festival with guests including the Mayor of Bedford and High Sherriff of Bedfordshire. The contacts and promotion for our cause we have gained through this partnership has been priceless and the determination and encouragement from Marie-Ange made the project a success that we are still feeling the benefits of. Thanks QPCO!

I have been assisted by the QPCO advocacy service on two seperate occasions, both times in order to facilitate communication and negotiation between myself and the council as I was struggling to communicate with them myself and it was causing undue stress.

Upon hearing of my struggles, Marie-Ange promptly assigned one of her Colleagues, June, to help me understand what the council required from me, going as far to call them on my behalf to effectively translate their requirements to me.

I could not be more grateful for the support she offered as it relieved a significant amount of pressure and stress from me. I did not once feel judged or shunned by Marie-Ange or June, I was compassionately and tentatively supported by them.

It is clear through their actions that the members of QPCO truely care about their community and understand the complex struggles that we may sometimes find themselves in, this is something I would say is incredibly rare in this modern day and sorely missed by anyone who needs it.

I would whole-heartedly recommend QPCO to anyone who may require their Advocacy service or any other service that they provide.
