Today 24/2/24 ... Myself and my mother visited this place for a model train exhibition(we also came here in 2019).... Where the model club members showed you their layouts and talked to you about the places and history of it all ... Refreshments were also available.... £5.00 entrance was very good aswell. ?.

There was the legendary tombola where i won a can of coke!

I recently held my 70th birthday party at Heanor Miners Welfare and couldn’t fault a thing from my first contact with them onwards. The room was superb with well staffed bar, stage and separate room for buffet. The buffet they provided was excellent and enjoyed by all. Also an adjoining car park. I can highly recommend this place for a party as you will not be disappointed. Thanks to all the staff for making my party perfect.

At a party tonight lovely host, lovely room and great venue for a party, shame about the end of the night when bar staff were quite rude and not pleasant to guests. I was looking for a party venue but would not recommend this venue. What a shame ?

I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff and Susan For making my wife’s 40th extra special. Everyone was super helpful, the room was an excellent size, with a separate, air conditioned room for food. The food was excellent. We had over 100 people there on the night and it never felt packed.

I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a special night.

Great venue in a cracking location, went to the model railway exhibition there which was really good.
The only thing that was a bit of a pain was the car park people had no idea what they were doing, pulled up at the entrance to find a car park full sign. All the attendants were too busy talking to each other to tell us there was more parking across the road, so drove round for 15mins and found somewhere just over 1/2 a mile away.
Come on.
