I've been under the mental health team now for a good few yrs. I have always found them to be very supportive throughout my illness. Sometimes I don't think they get the recognition they deserve it can't be easy supporting people like myself on a daily basis , thankyou everyone that's supported me and pulled me back out that black hole .

The reviews here on Google are very mixed, but my experience has been good. Communication and appointments: no problems. I've had three appointments (first was in June 2023), each with a different doctor (the doctors, particularly the junior ones, move on quite quickly). With general questions, the senior secretary has been extremely helpful.

We have been with this service for 10 years now and have had nothing but excellent care, when our daughter Jade has had a problem we have been put into contact with someone very quickly even been called by Dr Gopal himself on several occasions, so our exsperience is only positive. We are so glad to that face to face appointments are taking place having seen Dr Gopal today with a student nurse who had the right temprement for this challenging work our daughter left feeling more positive than we have seen in a long time. So thumbs up 5 star rating from her and us. Hope the new clozapine clinic works out everything in on place good idea. SD, JD.

Have spent the worst part of 4 years trying to get care from these people. Unless you're willing to call them weekly and badger them to actually do things, nothing gets done. Prescriptions don't get filled properly or on time, referrals aren't done, even the service manager just ignores patients and doesn't call them. Dr Gopal especially does not listen to patients and prefers to argue and ignore them, while his secretary hasn't done a single thing asked of her for my case.
If you can afford to go private, do it.

Edit: 4yrs of waiting to be sent a letter (having had 0 contact with them for 7 months) discharging me. Letter was full of inaccuracies and didn't reflect anything that had actually happened. Told to wait until Jan for another service. Absolutely shocking behaviour from a so called Mental Health Team.

Woeful. Absolute redundant service. If your mental health care falls into the hands of these people you may aswell give up now. You will NOT get the help you deserve or need. Just more stress and anxiety to be gained.
Maxine in particular is not only Useless but has 0 empathy or care for patients.

Wish I could give this service 0 stars. If you're suicidal anticipate a 6 -12 month wait then be put on meds that never get reviewed. Maxine is the most useless point of contact, she never gets back in touch with you despite copius messages being left with the admin team. The admin team shouldn't be doing the job they are doing as they have 0 intellect and no interpersonal skills. Either go private or kill yourself as these seem to be the only two viable options where mental health is concerned these days. Disgusting creatures with no compassion.

Appalling No Stars NONE ! Telephone lines didnt work , no one contacted us from Emails, ended up driving there, where we were left to stand outside in the rain for 1.5 hours , when we finally go access they told us that they had no record or Nina ! So we showed them the letter they had originally sent 4 months previously. They then managed to find her. Having done a couple of basic scans , we were told yes there is a little scaring on the brain but that she should try and read more books ! (Nina was originally a avid reader) (scaring in the brain ! is it Me !) However we have changed our GP to one within the Notts district and are being refer to a different Metal health practice I suggest you do the same , these people should be struck off !, I am currently starting legal proceedings against them .
