We were actually hoping they had a shop, the station itself is impressive but it's location is even more impressive. Being at the end of a spit of land opposite a large sandbank, which creates some very interesting tidal and wave effects.

We were given a tour around the station by Nick today, learnt about the amazing ÂŖ250k rib and its launch tractor. Inside the station is the original dinghy made for Ken Derham in 1935 that was used before the RNLI station was created in the 1960s.
