A great place to get independent advice on a range of issues. Housing aid are brilliant at support through all areas of issues from advice to advocacy support- equally giving good general advice on a range of topics from benefit queries, form completion to mental health welfare. The go to centre for help. I will always recommend if you have housing issues head to the housing aid- if they don't know the answer then they find the service that does. The people that work here are friendly and supportive and they are welcoming and approachable. They are non-judgemental and compassionate about their work.

These guys are amazing at their job! They helped me secure my first affordable secure permanent tenancy with the council and got me out of the damp expensive private lett I was living in, they built a case for me and helped with all application forms for things, they gave me loads of practical advise and help and secured financial help making sure I was receiving all the benefits I was supposed to. They got me a community care grant to get all my white goods and carpets for my new home, Suzanne kept in touch with me almost daily to keep me up to date with everything that was going on, thanks to the team at Ayr housing aid, Lecia and Suzanne in particular, I now have my own home, I have security and peace of mind for the first time in a long time! They have gone above and beyond to make this transition as stress free as possible for me, I can’t thank them enough, I would advise anyone who is struggling to get in touch with them! One phone call or email could make all the difference, it certainly has for me!

Had an insufficient housing offer from South Ayrshire Council which I then declined. South Ayrshire Council weren't prepared to hear an appeal from myself and pressured me on numerous occasions into taking their offer. I had very good reason for appealing which SAC weren't prepared to hear. South Ayrshire Council then threatened me and my daughter with homelessness if we did not accept their offer.

With nowhere else to turn I heard about Housing Aid and told them my dilemma. On the 1st phone call they heard me out, offered their help immediately and told me where I stood. Housing Aid gave me great advise, reassurance, assistance and even got the councils decision overturned and gave me a fair chance of appealing the councils offer.

Without Housing Aid I wouldn't have been able to win my case against the local council. There were many times I felt like giving in to the councils demands but Housing Aid's reassurance powered me through the whole case.
