Great harbour staff, saved our bacon when we had engine failure at the river mouth. Clean showers and bathrooms, good pontoon access and a near silent new electric water taxi to get around.

Beautiful area and the HA seem to do a good job of looking after it but disagree with their extortionate charge of £20 to 'use' the harbour and water if you have a paddleboard or kayak. Other local HA are free or very cheap for a longer period.

The Yealm Harbour Authority are wonderful, the river valley is picture perfect and we'll looked after, as are visiting sailors. Three very good pubs all serving food. This is a must visit! I'll be going back.

One of the loveliest locations for visiting yacht moorings. Pontoon access and good facilities to shower etc. Very helpful staff who genuinely want to make your visit and her thing as easy as possible.

We have been to Newton Ferrers many times before in our yacht but this time we experienced engine trouble. We were unable to resolve the matter ourselves. The Harbourmaster gave us the most incredible assistance and advice and actually came down to the boat to see what he could do. It was well beyond the call of duty! We are immensely grateful to him and he is a great credit to the harbour authority and Newton Ferrers. Thank you.
