My dad and I had the most fantastic time with City Bees in our 'Life in the hive' and hive visit session, which was a Christmas present. Tim is incredibly knowledgeable about beekeeping, which is a surprisingly complex but unsurprisingly fascinating topic! The set up is very homely and gives you a great understanding of day to day beekeeping. We learned a huge amount through the presentation but the real highlight was donning our protective suits to get up close and personal with the hives. We left with our expectations thoroughly exceeded along with two jars of delicious honey and a large slab of honeycomb! I highly recommend this brilliant experience to anyone with a curious nature, even if you have no intention of keeping bees!

Tim from City Bees is highly enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable and I can wholeheartedly recommend his Beekeeper For a Day Experience as a perfect introduction to beekeeping for the novice.

The day is packed full of useful information presented by Tim who actively encouraged us to ask questions, every one of which was patiently and eloquently answered in easy to understand language. We all came away with a much greater awareness of the pros and cons of beekeeping and the hands on experience of handling and inspecting frames of bees was a great way to gain confidence in dealing with large numbers of bees without fear or trepidation.

If you want to keep bees and would like to know what's involved then City Bees is a great place to start and Tim is a great person to get to know.
