Mum was placed there as part of her recovery after a fall. What a great place, with great caring staff. The grounds are well kept, and Mum loves to be pushed around there in her wheelchair.

We stopped here to cycle the strawberry line. Everyone was so warm and friendly. There is a lovely cafe where you can grab a drink and snack. The local residents told us it was a lovejoy place to live too.

My 'secret' place, with an excellent M & S, Currys & McD's all in the same place!
What more could you ask?

It was a very nice visit, enjoyed equally by both me and my 8 year old daughter. She had a lovely time pretending to be engineer and the station master. Everything is so beautifully preserved, it reminded me of stories like the railway children 🙂

Lovely setting. Worth a visit to see the old railway station and waiting rooom. The volunteers have also set up a model railway . Drinks and small selection of snacks available. You can sit in the carriages and enjoy the view towards Crooks Peak. Only open at weekends and school holidays. Totally run by volunteers. Great little stop along the Strawberry line.

Absolutely beautiful place with amazing staff! My Mom had to spend a few months respite in there after a short illness in hospital.
It's actually a very posh gated community with various houses and apartments dotted about the place.
I believe they have a gym, an indoor swimming pool, bowling green, restaurant etc.
There's a guard on the gates so you can only enter with good reason which makes the residents feel safe and relaxed.
My Mom cried when she was well enough to come home! 😂👍🏾
