This is a very special place unlike most of the commercialized charities. The staff ooze with kindness, appreciation, flexibility and warmth. You always feel good when you go there.

For me - it embodies how a charity should conduct itself. I am glad that there are charities like these which make a real difference. It is worth both donating and buying.

As a customer, you get to see how they help disabled get on with the odds of life. Keep up the good work Kevin & team!

It would be nice if the shop can post pictures of the available items on Facebook as it will aid us to check often what is there and enable us to purchase more suited to our needs.

We take lots of good quality items to Disability Action warehouse at Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. Nobody looks at items we have delivered. It's just "leave it there".
Absolutely not bothered about thanks, but sometimes we are not sure if what we are giving is appropriate to the warehouse.
We also buy from D. A warehouse to upcycle pieces of furniture.
Recent visits show a lack of commitment from staff/ volunteers. The whole place needs someone to give it some vibrancy and a jolly good clrear out and clean.

I have used Disability Action in Harrogate a few times now, sometimes to take furniture away and other times to buy from them. I have always found the team to be helpful and courteous. I would recommend them to everybody, and I do.

Plenty of good furniture for decent prices, as well as general charity shop utensils and knick-knacks. They directly support a local charity and provide work, which I prefer over donating to a much larger, less transparent charity.
