I’ve attended the GrowBaby sessions about four times this year, and each experience was wonderful. The team has always been brilliant, supportive, and made me feel truly welcomed. Unfortunately, today was a completely different experience. I felt discriminated against, singled out, and unwelcome to the point that it brought me to tears. I was made to feel like a cheat, as though I were begging for children's items, and honestly, I felt humiliated. Looking back, part of me wishes I had just walked out and left the items behind. I’m even tempted to return everything, but the thought of dragging it all on the bus feels too overwhelming.

I do want to say thank you to one particular staff member who supported me through this ordeal. That was very kind of you. You know who you are.

I used to love and praise this place so much that I even considered working or volunteering there as a way of giving back. Sadly, after today, I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

I have another appointment this week, which I will send someone else to attend on my behalf, and after that, it’s goodbye for me. As one of the staff members mentioned, 'maybe it's time to consider other places of service.'

I don’t mean to sound unappreciative, as the service is usually incredible, but this particular incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope nobody else has to feel the way I was made to feel today.

Best food bank in the northampton town center area. You can only go 5 times per year and you require a referral code so you'll need a support worker or doctor or other official body to refer you.
