Strolling towards Crosby Beach and Leisure Centre, spotted this interesting Charity Cafe, firstly being inset off Mariners Rd on route, it caught my eye as it has a sheltered park space area for Bikes and secondly I’m always drawn to small endeavouring venues like this to explore.
Menu is simple, offerings are locally made and as it was a chilly wintery day, especially after a long stroll on the beach and a pool swim I decided to dive in.
Hot soup - classic simple Campbell’s tomato style with a freshly baked warm roll. Then Foamy Cappuccino with a lovely light and moist gluten free Carrot Cake - spot on. In this instance it’s not just about the food, it reflects what the Cottage stands for, support and local integration. Plus I loved the local Mencap’s Art work on sale, bought a small piece. Ye are doing a great job, the best in success, I will be back dropping by now and again ?x

Lovely place for hot drink and cake. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very close to the beach and local shops. Public park very near also.

As inviting an lovely this place looks with so much potential! On 30 May closing (morning time) no stock then yesterday myself an two friends went past (going beach) closed!

On return a couple were Sat with coffee cups so all excited we walked in an their little faces said all……sorry it’s not open we got our takeaway coffees round corner cafe an brought them back here too sit, well that’s what we done, they were still there an we got chatting.

We were all disappointed but it was clearly a subject close too their hearts, very sad indeed that others (running place/in charge) whatever didn’t have the same passion too make it work, just needs reliable, committed folks an it would do fantastic, gotta see the potential in it?

Amazing coffee and cake! Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Also lots off different clubs/activities for a wide range of people. Highly recoomend!
