Initially, we were very well supported, but then sadly, after a helpful member of staff left nothing

Sadly the lovely person who was helping me with various things has left, I now have no support or help and continue to have issues with certain things that she was trying to help with 🙁

I contacted Autistic Nottingham for help for my daughter, who was seeking reasonable adjustments from her University. Student Support staff were refusing to give any meaningful assistance. It was towards the end of her second year, and she was really struggling to cope.

My daughter was allocated an advocate who liaised with the University, and ensured that they were fully aware of their legal obligations to provide reasonable adjustments for disabled students. As a result, the University finally agreed to allow my daughter to complete the final year of her degree by distance learning, which was not without its own difficulties, but at least she was able to complete the course, and has just graduated with a 2:1.

I would like to thank Autistic Nottingham, and my daughter’s advocate Charlie specifically, for your marvellous support, without which, my daughter would probably have been unable to complete her degree.

I contacted Autistic Nottingham for Advocacy support with a Blue Badge application.

That Advocacy support has been utterly amazing and helped me navigate a very stressful process.

Having made that connection to Autistic Nottingham I was sign posted to a variety of their events and support.

I have found that community to be an very supportive space.

I have already attended a Trial and Taste event and will no doubt attend more events!

Claire helped me massively with a PIP claim for my 16 year old, something that can be a very stressful experience. A great organisation and brilliant help for autistic adults and their supporters. Thank you for being there for us!

I can't express enough gratitude for the support given to me by Louisa and the Autistic Nottingham team. I'd be lost without them.

The only charity for Autistic adults in the UK solely run by Autistic adults.
Only we really know what we want or need.
