The Orchard is a tiny, community-run café that is easily overlooked, hidden in plain sight. To find it, one must walk towards the left after entering the War Memorial park and keep an eye out for the community building. The staff at The Orchard are known for their friendly and uplifting demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

The café's location within the park offers a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying warm summer days or taking a takeaway cup for a stroll through the park. The natural surroundings provide a tranquil backdrop for a relaxing break.

However, there is one minor issue to note – the consistency of the hot chocolate's taste may vary from visit to visit. Despite this, The Orchard remains a highly recommended spot for those seeking a good cup of coffee or tea, delicious homemade cakes, and a charming atmosphere.

With its wheelchair-accessible facilities, including a car park and entrance, The Orchard is an inclusive space that caters to the needs of all visitors.

For anyone looking for a delightful café experience in Basingstoke, The Orchard is definitely worth a visit. Be sure to check out their website or give them a call at 1256423800 for more information on their menu and any upcoming events. Don't miss the opportunity to support this wonderful non-profit organization and enjoy a delightful cup of coffee in a beautiful setting.

Tiny little community run café which is hiding in plain sight!
To reach here, you need to walk towards left after entering the War Memorial park and you will see the community building.

The staff is really nice and always in uplifting mood.
The area is really nice with outdoor seating and perfect for summer timing! or get a takeaway cup for walking in the park.

My only issue is, Hot Chocolate sometimes is not good. The taste doesn't remain consistent over different visits.

Apart from that, its really a good place to visit and you can continue the walks in the park afterwards.

Thank you.

Good meeting place and the Cedar Room was great for socialising. Bit tricky getting into the car park but security is necessary .

A great community building but choosy who they allow in their car park. The reception staff were less than helpful and need to be more aware of their obligations re the disability act. One star for the attitude of the staff.

First time i was surprised how big it was. Very clean, accessable if you have a wheelchair. Security guard was very nice. Showed me where the room was.
