We had a great time visiting the sanctuary, which I thought was excellent value for money at £13 each. We saw lots of seals, plus other wildlife and enjoyed our time. I saw a few negative reviews before we went and think some people have forgotten this is a sanctuary, not a zoo. It’s a charity rescuing wild animals and doing all they can for them. Don’t go expecting a long day out - go expecting to see the amazing kind work that’s done here, with an opportunity to see some beautiful animals.
My only suggestion for them to improve is to add a vegan option to the cafe menu, many animal lovers are vegan. There is a quorn ham or regular cheese option if you’re vegetarian.

Been today. And what an absolutely dreadful experience. Almost 3 quarters of the enclosures are empty, overgrown and unkempt, The others are absolutely filthy. Considering it's a seal sanctuary there are very few seals (maybe a good thing ) water in the seals, koi carp and other water based enclosures was black not clear it's no wonder the animals are suffering infections. the animals need moving to a batter home and this place needs closing and a major refurb

Lovely interesting place for all ages.
More like a small zoo now than a seal sanctuary.
After having a snack in the cafe, we followed the fascinating timeline fossil dinosaur trail.
Had great fun trying to find the animals hiding in their enclosures. Though, most of them were hiding from the screaming & noisy visitors.
Didn't find the meercats.
Will visit again when holidays end.

Disabled friendly.
Toilets.

Lovely sanctuary looking after injured animals, of which there are plenty. Good little displays and feeding demos on throughout the day. Fair priced cafe and gift shop. Worth saving money and buying a family ticket if more than 2 of you. Little Dino dig area for the kids and a lovely little prehistoric walk with fossils and amazing facts.

Spent more time there than planned. More to see than I expected so good value for the admission price. Good timeline adding interest to walking round. In time to see the seals being fed. Also has a good little cafe.

Wonderful place with lots of animals. It was very cold and Windy when we went in April. But there were lots of indoor walk through areas to go inside. One way round all the exhibits so you can't miss anything. Very wheelchair friendly although there is a steep incline to get in there is another root which is a bit less steep but further round. The cafe was lovely but because it was early in the season the cafe was not cooking hot food. We had a lovely toasted teacake. It was a little expensive but you expect that when you go away and it was very much in line with inflation.
