What a nightmare trying to find the Memory Club here. It's situated at the very back of the building. No signs or notices to get you there pretty much spent half an hour looking for the place. Asked two people who seemed to work in one of the other buildings and they didn't even know where it was.
No parking at the venue but parking a few minutes walk away. Costs apply. Toilet facilities available. Social Club bar next door.
Once in the memory cafe I was made to feel very welcome the atmosphere was friendly and warm as well as the whole room. Plenty of puzzles games and a cuppa with biscuits as well. Costs involved. Nice friendly place.

The manager for the place is very rude, yelled at me infront of my 5 year old child. Insulted me as a nurse who cannot understand instructions despite explaining to her I had heavy items to lift therefore needed my van to be parked close to the building. I was not blocking anyone at this point.

The manager got into my van and drove it without my informed consent despite not being insured or having authority to drive my van. When I asked her name (Identity), so that I can follow legal complaints procedure she refused to give me her name. All I know is she drives a silver Range Rover. Rudely with her friend stated “You want to call the police, where are you going to find me, do you even know my name?”. Of course I don’t but, I know you are the owner of a grey/ silver Range Rover and someone with authority to the club, because this was your introduction.

No management skills, not caring, no compassion for a 5 year old child who was present whilst yelling at me and has since been left traumatised. My child keeps reminding me when he sees her, “Dad that’s the woman that yells”. Shows no commitment for customer service despite, serving the local community. No regard for the law and the need to follow the right approach instead grabs the keys to my van and drives without being insured to drive and/or getting my informed consent to do so.

No regard for my profession as a nurse. At least, she should have left this out after all the hustle I have passed through including my colleagues looking after people when no one wanted to.

The lady has no integrity, cannot even at the least acknowledge that the venue is cold during winter and during mornings, we have to use blankets as the feet are cold instead, dismissed who ever wrote the review as someone who’s never been in the venue.

Not sure these are qualities of a leader, a manager and a person appointed to serve others.

Both positive and negative feedback should never be dismissed but, used to improve a service!!!!

Sunday 31/03/24 the place is still cold with people covering themselves in blankets appalling !!!!

Go up
