My daughter first attended acustic guitar circa 12 months ago. Chris has a fabulous style that has ensured it captured her enthusiasm to learn and progress. 6 months grade one with a merit and now almost ready for grade 2. However the lessons are not about grades but playing the music my 11 year old loves, creating a love of music and performing.

Cannot recommend two highly, now started singing lessons as well as my daughter indulges her passion.

Reasonable fees and a genuine cate to support your child in their passion. Cant recommend highly enough. My daughters new school has extra curricular music lessons but will continue with distort as the teaching is second to none.

I started taking my daughter to Distort Music back in 2013 after a recommendation from a family member, she was only 6 years old then and I was doubtful she'd be old enough to be taught anything other than nursery rhymes ... how wrong could I have been! Through bespoke tutoring tailored to her interests she's developed into a confident accomplished guitar player.

I was so impressed by the level of tutoring and the relaxed atmosphere I enrolled both my sons : one for piano the other with guitar. The tutors have both provided support with their upcoming Music GCSE's.

It's worth pointing out to anyone interested in having music lessons that my children are all taught by different tutors at Distort Music and from my experience they all apply the same level of knowledge, professionalism, enthusiasm and fun!

My son couldn't play around 2 years ago. He's now going to music college. I would never have believed in the progress over this short period.
It's all down to quality tutorial and harnessing the strengths and building up weaknesses. It's done by having a fantastic knowledge of music and knowing the student.
In my sons last year at school, Chris worked with school and my son to ensure the target of success is possible.
Going the extra mile is second nature.
It's special to be able to play music, it's magical to pass the gift to those who want to live music.

My son William joined Distort Music Tuition 2 to 3 years ago having previously had guitar lessons elsewhere for a few years. He had reached a point where he starting losing interest in playing because he wasn`t really progressing, he felt like he`d hit a brick wall. His confidence was at an all time low and he felt like just giving up!.........so we decided to try him in a different music school.
As soon as he started having lessons with Chris he was immediately inspired, and his love for music returned with a huge BANG!!................he loved every second of it!!.
William was on Grade 2 when he started with Chris, he is now just about ready for his Grade 5. Once he has passed Grade 5 Chris says his guitar playing has improved so much he may be able to jump straight to Grade 8!............WOW!!!.
This shows what a fantastic guitar teacher Chris Aspin is, and what an amazing school he runs. He also helps students with their Music Exams at regular school, and even comes into school to accompany them with their exam pieces. I know in Williams experience, having Chris there was a real confidence boost and also helped settle his nerves.
Chris has the ability to inspire students to fall in love with music and bring the confidence they need to fulfil their full potential. He has a real passion for teaching and is very friendly, professional, compassionate, sincere and helpful. He goes out of his way to make sure his students come out of their lessons feeling happy and contented, and feel they've made real progress and had fun at the same time.
Since being at Distort Music Tuition William has never looked back, he plays his guitar almost every day and now loves it so much he wants to do music as a career!.
Moving to Distort Music Tuition was the best thing William could have done....................BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!. 10/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
