I initially had a great experience with Foundations Tonbridge. They went above and beyond to help, and I was hopeful they would be able to provide the support my child needed.

However, after my child was assessed, I realized that they struggle to support children who are high-masking or high-functioning—especially when schools or other settings don’t acknowledge the child’s needs or are unwilling to share information.

I even paid extra for a professional to visit the school, and while she picked up on far more than the school had, it still wasn’t considered enough. Despite my child displaying clear signs, it seemed like more was always needed, which left me feeling that Foundations should do more to support high-masking and high-functioning children. They also need to improve their ability to assess and diagnose these cases properly. With high masking and high functioning children.

After many sessions, they ultimately decided to stop working with my child and pushed for it to be other organisations issue.

They have let my son and me down, leaving him after all his hard work and efforts to engage ruined. Now, I have to find another organization that will truly help him access the support he needs.

Brilliant for children who need therapies. But not for high masking high functioning children. Don't recommend also if your second setting refuse to give evidence despite having evidence from the second setting through paperwork it just isn't enough don't waste your money.

Replying to your reply-

I want to clarify that nothing I’ve stated is misleading. I was not criticizing this company but simply sharing my personal experience and perspective. In my experience, this service is not suited for high-masking children, and if your child's school does not acknowledge or support this, then it may not be the right investment for your family.

I have acknowledged the benefits of therapy for children and have praised its effectiveness for those who need it. I have not, in any way, made misleading statements. Your company stopped working with my child under false information being pressed by a 3rd party even after showing professional evidence.

This service is excellent if your child requires therapy.
It is also beneficial if your child is not high-masking and presents more visibly recognized needs.

However, it does not adequately support high-masking children, and this was not taken into account during the assessment process. A child not engaging, making eye contact, or speaking is, in itself, evidence of their needs—yet this was overlooked. That is a reflection of the company's approach, not my opinion.

Foundations provided us a very strong and professional group of clinical team. We received a excellent ADHD assessment report. The report is very thorough and has captured my son's strengths and difficulties well.

We are a blended family, it was not easy to deal with the complication. Foundations tried very best to make the assessment smooth and collect useful information. It was not an easy job. A big thank you to Dr. Goldsmith and Dr. James, thank you for your profession and patient. Foundations is highly recommended if your child needs assessments.

The whole process with Foundations from enquiring, completing the forms through to the actual assessment was extremely thorough and professional. The Foundations team that we met were friendly, warm and understanding. The finalised report is well written and easy to understand. I would highly recommend Foundations for an ASD and/or ADHD assessment - they really get to know you and your child.

My child has been struggling with their mental health for a couple of years. In that time they have seen a couple of counsellors and been referred to Camhs. They have never really engaged, trusted and opened up until seeing Dr Goldsmith.
The facility is very child centred with plenty of toy/fidget distractions. Dr Goldsmith has a very friendly and caring manner. My child instantly felt relaxed and able to open up. They have gone as far as saying a session was fun.
Dr Goldsmith has clearly discussed with me and my child what she feels the issues are and how/what treatment she recommends to help.
So far this has been a very positive experience and I believe the best approach to helping my child.

Dr Goldsmith and all the team at Foundations were so helpful and caring throughout the whole process of my sons assessments. The report at the end was so full of information and suggestions. I have had no trouble with the gp or the school accepting the diagnosis. We have also seen Kate for mindfulness sessions which my 7 Yr old has found very useful.

Dr Diana, Dr Tanya and Senlika have assessed both my daughter and myself within the last year. They were so empathetic and supportive throughout the whole process, and the documentation and advice provided was thorough and full of useful suggestions. Claudie has also provided invaluable advice and support. They are all absolute experts in their field.
