I joined the Stewart Academy Choir 4 months ago as I had friends in the choir who were nagging me to join! I am so glad I did. I love singing and have been a part of many choirs over the years. This is by far the best choir I have ever been in. As soon as I walked in I was warmly welcomed by Kelly and many choir members who have already become friends. This is far more than a choir, it is a really supportive, friendly community who make an amazing sound when singing together. Kelly is amazing, she is enthusiastic, passionate, incredibly talented and highly skilled at getting the best out of every single member of the choir while having fun at the same time. Monday is my favourite day of the week! This really is a family and anyone thinking of joining a choir really should, you would be welcomed with open arms.

Wow! What a wonderful organisation. Kelly manages our work choir and she is more than the leader, she genuinely cares and brings passion, enthusiasm and mostly fun to each session. It’s wonderful to be part of the broader academy and experience such joy singing together. I can’t recommend the academy enough, such a wonderful and humbling experience. Definitely give them a try!

I saw The Stewart Academy combined adult and children's choirs perform at Staines-upon-Thames Day in 2024 and was blown away by how good they were! I was captivated by the energy and enthusiasm of their leader/director/principal, Kelly, and knew this was the choir for me. I bumped into her, shortly after the performance, plucked up all my courage and asked if I could join. I did, the following week, and I can honestly say that doing so has changed my life. This is so much more than just a choir. It is the most wonderful community to belong to. I am lucky enough to be able to rehearse twice a week with the choir. It really is a privilege. Those two hours a week are two hours of pure joy. Our repertoire is modern, varied and exciting. The harmonies are glorious. You don't need to have any prior experience or audition. Kelly is a fantastic teacher. Anyone even thinking of joining a choir should just contact Kelly and come along to a rehearsal to see what it's all about. I'm sure once you've felt the magic, you'll end up joining too!

I joined the choir a year ago, not really thinking I could sing. There is no test, no exam, we can just become part of this brilliant group and as a choir we sound amazing. Kelly is the best choir leader: she teaches the songs with such joy, fun and energy which makes us want to sound our very best and we do!!! Her choice of songs is inspring. Come and listen to us at a practice session and, if you like what you hear, just join. It’s a little bit magical and so uplifting!

I joined the adult choir last year, and it quickly became the highlight of my week. Kelly's energy and enthusiasm is infectious and the whole group is lovely! My 13 year old daughter attends the Stewart Academy group on a Tuesday evening and loves it. Performing on stage together for the Christmas performance last year was something we'll always treasure! 💕

Last year Kelly Stewart set up a Dementia choir in Spelthorne at the request of Purple Angels, which is a charity helping people with Dementia and their carers.
As a group we have met weekly and been involved in several concerts to the public.
Kelly's enthusiasm, her talent and incredible
joy of life and compassion has inspired us all. She brings joy & laughter into our weekly meetings & builds up our confidence
Who knew that we could sing in a choir? Some of us encouraged to sing solo!! That was a first for most of us.
Well done Kelly & a big Thank You from all of us

Kelly is one of a kind, not only is she amazing at what she does the relationship she has with the children she teaches is just lovely.
Kelly goes above and beyond for her Academy and all that attends giving up a lot of her own time to create such amazing, special memories.
If you’re looking for a drama/Choir group for your child I would highly recommend.
I would give her 10 stars if I could
