There are lots of animals here looking for their happily ever after and YOU, can make that dream come true. Pets don't judge you, pets don't care what you wear or where you work. All they want is to be cared for and loved. In return, whether it's first thing in the morning, coming home from work or going to bed. They will always be happy to see you, laughing or crying they will be there with you, to share the excitement or comfort the tears. I often pop to BARK to drop donations off.
They do a great job looking after dogs that have been abandoned, abused and neglected - dogs that other people have just discarded. Some can be rehomed easily, some take more time and effort to be ready for a new life - and some have suffered so much that rehoming is not an option. BARK will never put them down - which is a practice unfortunately carried out by some of the more well known rescues.

They have a constant challenge of funding. 40 dogs and 10 cats are not cheap to feed - and the staff and volunteers do a great job of caring for all of them.

Make an appointment and meet the residents. Yes it’s noisy and sometimes chaotic but it’s worth it to find your perfect companion.

All animals are well looked after and the team do everything they can to enrich the animals lives and find them suitable homes. The rescue has an exceptional team of volunteers who support with kennel cleaning and walking the dogs.

Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels is a wonderful, caring, small family run rescue center with a big heart! The dogs are the priority, kept happy and healthy and will remain at BARK as long as it takes to find them the perfect home! BARK does not have a destruction policy, they will never put a healthy dog to sleep. There are often 40+ dogs and 10+ cats looking for a forever home at any one time so it's definitely worth paying a visit if you're looking to adopt a new family member! Volunteers are always well appreciated. Come along and take a dog for a walk or a play on the large exercise field - the dog will love the fresh air, the company and often lots of cuddles too! It's a rescue very close to my heart. We adopted the most loving BARK crossbreed dog here. During and after the adoption process, we received lots of good advice to help her settle in. We couldn't imagine life without her now!
