I recently visited this excellent hospital with my 82-year-old mother, who had suffered a stroke. The care we received from every staff member was both warm and professional. In the urgent care and stroke department, we experienced a reasonable wait time of under two hours, during which my mother underwent prompt blood tests and a CT scan. We were greeted by compassionate nurses who provided exceptional support throughout the process. The quality of care and treatment she received in urgent care was outstanding and highly professional. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for their dedication and support.

Excellent hospital with warm and professional care from every one of the approximately 20-30 staff I came into contact with during my stay. Urgent Care was a reasonable wait of under two hours with fast blood tests, consultation and move to Surgical Unit 8. There I was welcomed by lovely nurses who helped me settle in. The care and treatment I’ve had across urgent care, ultrasound and the surgical unit has been high quality, professional and even charming throughout for three days. Special thanks to staff nurse Angela Naylor who was an absolute star - so professional and caring despite being very busy. Immaculately clean ward, good facilities and decent food. Huge thanks to all.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Medical SDEC team for their outstanding service. They are a wonderful group of people who genuinely care for their patients. Thank you, Otto, for making my blood test less painful; the trainee nurse is doing an excellent job. Everyone on the ward today is truly amazing.

I had the misfortune of spending 48 hours in ED then medical ward 9 earlier this week.
As a senior specialist nurse in another Trust I was refreshingly impressed with my entire experience. I hear and witness appalling stories, but can honestly say that my care was excellent from start to finish. The staff are all clearly stretched beyond belief, but remained compassionate, professional and efficient.

Discharge lounge is a joke. They brought me down at 10.50am. I watched everyone come and go. At 3.30 I went to the pharmacy to see what was happening and they said the medication was ready. I told the discharge lounge who then went to pick up the medication.

Kim just talked about herself or highlighted others failures. So much for teamwork. I'd like to say that my consultant was excellent and so were the ward staff. I was really irritated in the discharge lounge, that type of energy is not for me.

I sat there in pain for almost 5 hours, listening to nonsense, and they couldn't understand why I was complaining.

I recently had minor surgery at the Pruh and I was really impressed by the staff's attitude.
The ward staff went above and beyond, as did the two wonderful ladies in the discharge lounge. If I had any negatives, I'd say communication between the surgeons and ward staff could be better. However such was the excellent service from everyone that this wasn't much of an issue.

Loved this hospital. I was on surgical ward 5. Jospehine was amazing. The gentleman she worked with kept disappearing. She never complained and she did everything by herself and with a smile. I'm in awe as there was a lady who never slept and het tone never changed. She talked to her and yook her for walks. Josephine is definitely in the right field. I observed everything. The staff were so cheerful, and most of the staff were really helpful. Happiness comes from the top. Well done 🥰

I attended the Pru yesterday as an urgent referral from my GP. This was due to an ongoing stomach issue. The hospital staff were obviously stretched, and I heard numerous people say they had seen it on the news but didn’t believe it until they saw it. 40hours for a bed, people spending overnight in chairs and on trolleys…..it is real. On top of this there are the frustrated grumblings of expectant patients whilst I also witnessed a very abusive guy proclaims his importance in between a swearing tirade at staff.
There were also people there for probably no other reason than comfort.
The staff can’t react and have to put up with all of this whilst delivering a service. Let me tell you they do it brilliantly and excel in every aspect. They have to constantly review, update priorities and keep everyone up to date. For me they need applauding not knocking as they are always there when we need them most.
Please give them a break and be tolerant if you have to wait a little bit longer at this time.
