Peaceful newly planted forest. Lots of
Birch trees. Popular with dog walkers. Nice views with the stump in the distance.

Paths are wide and clear. Not muddy so suitable for all footwear. Nice on a clear day.

Has some benches dotted about if you want a rest or to relax.

Really lovely woods with lots of nature to observe. A great place to walk in the summer as you get to see a bit of wildlife and there's plenty of open field. Though be careful if you're scared of dogs (or just don't like them) as many people have theirs off the lead and you often get greeted by them. A bit of an upside for me but could be a negative for those who aren't so keen on being sniffed and climbed on by stranger's dogs. You also occasionally get a whiff of ammonia from the chicken farm opposite but it does disappear in the wind.

My goodness it was cold n windy on the day we visited but still enjoyed the walk around. Lots of Robins and bluetits flying around a kestrel looking for her dinner . Its generally flat and the walking routes are clear and stable to walk on. An absolute abundance of seats to sit on during your walk which was great for me with a dodgey ankle. Deffinately worth a walk round will be stunning in the summer ☀️

Lovely place to enjoy a walk. Ideal for dog walkers too. So peaceful with plenty of shade for those hot summer days. Very pleasant any time of the year, surrounded with lovely views of the country side with lots of sky and a flat horizon. You can also see Boston Stump in the distance. I love this place. It has lots of trails and paths you can follow with benches dotted around to sit down and enjoy the relaxing surroundings. I was very touched to see the memorial garden. What a lovely place to come and remember loved ones. Lots of birds, wild life and flowers. Such a pleasant place, especially early morning or at sunset with the sun shining through the trees.

Great early morning bird song walk with the RSPB local group, about 30 species heard and others seen. Its just a shame that not all the dog walkers follow the signs and clear up after their dogs or fail to keep them under control on the grassy area.
