First time in Sidmouth, early morning walk on the beach, watching the run club limbering up, and found this amazing coffee place. So friendly and cheerful and lovely flat white too. Very good first impression of Sidmouth!

We moved to Sidmouth just over a year ago and it’s at Kapes we have made some lifelong friends. Fabulous relaxed atmosphere, Tom and his crew run a friendly, efficient, tasty service. Don’t be put off by the queue as they get through it in no time. Special mention to Luca who is the very essence of service with a smile. ‘Community’ is what Tom has built with Kapes - and that is priceless!
We moved to Sidmouth in 2022 and the people (FRIENDS!) I have met and made thanks to Kapes…just, Wow!
It helps that the coffee is fab (really great taste + lots of variety + the prices don’t take the mic!); the view is everything (especially when the sun surfaces!) and Tom, Luca, Amelie…are the best people to hang out with (hopefully Luca is soon to write his book ‘The Wisdom of Luca’ - ‘cause boy, the world needs that level of ‘chill!’)
