Charity staff are not educated on homelessness law. Tells anyone without local connection there is nothing they can do to help even if that person is in priority need. Staff need to look up housing act 1996, 186.

Julian house based there are even more appallingly inhumane telling vulnerable homeless people they have to go and sleep rough in order to receive help. Unlawful gatekeeping at its worst.

Base for Julian House charity. Excellent facilities for 'homeless ' people of all kinds. Offering (with the Council) good standard of accomodation and help to recreate the lives of those who have fallen on bad times. Kind, caring, efficient and helpful. Well worth donating to this charity, money is efficiently spent

I lived down Weymouth for nearly a year sleepin in a tent amongst an hotel here and there when affordable during covid but when I had nothin I always went here to have a shower and a meal for about 75p..... without these people who I remember very well it would have been harder! Good times in life you don't forget.

I am not a user but i donate Cakes and toiletries for there drop in teu,wed,thu.
Theye are very nice people from what i know of the lantern i would recomend they have a dentist nurse and more if you are in need plrase walk in to them

I have been lucky enough to provide the live entertainment at two consecutive fundraiser evenings for The Lantern Trust the last two years and I have seen the work that goes into the running of the charity and the individuals the team help on a daily basis. They endeavor to give purpose to so many and their ongoing efforts does not go unnoticed by those they help directly and to all those including me that see the work they do for others. A great team of wonderful people lead by Mike Graham, a very well done to you all, we need more angels like you that is for sure.
