This morning, I had the privilege of sitting in the Charity Shop at The Christie Hospital and witnessing firsthand the fantastic work being done there. Heather and volunteer Andrea were an absolute credit to the shop and the cause it supports. Their dedication, teamwork, and warm interaction with customers made a real difference in the atmosphere, creating a welcoming and positive space for everyone who walked in.

It’s clear that the work being done here is about more than just raising funds—it’s about bringing kindness and care to the forefront. Heather’s leadership and Andrea’s enthusiasm as a volunteer were inspiring to see, both demonstrating incredible commitment to such a worthwhile charity. The shop itself was well-organized, with a great range of items on offer, and it’s wonderful to know that every purchase goes towards supporting the vital work at The Christie.

A huge thank you to Heather, Andrea, and all the volunteers who make this shop such a special place. Your efforts truly make a difference!

Christie's Hospital ( The Christie Hospital ) ranks as one of the best cancer treatment centres in the world. Two years after having worked for 44 years as a volunteer there and at their sister hospice St Anns, my mother recently succesfully completely two difficult courses of chemotherapy , either side of a very succesful major abdominal operation, 'debulking' her of the mestacised cancers.
I can only give the highest praise to the great attention their multi disciplinary team gave to her case, the exceptional skills of the surgical teams, and the succesful outcome of their chosen courses of action (she is now in remission ).
To any future patients I can only say this - stay positive and focussed and fight - you have an exceptional team of experts on your side, fighting with you ..... and together you can beat it. It can be done . 04/07/18

Obviously not somewhere that anyone would want to be but I cannot thank every person that we met enough. Thank you Dr Mansuer and your team for your care and understanding. I don't honestly know how you all get through everyday treating cancer patients. I hope you all take care of your health too. My respect to you

Is criminal what happening at Christies. A 2 tier health system. Consultant has left me without a scan even though it was urgent and no treatment or even oversight by anyone. But if you phone up their hotline for cancer patients, they will ask you if youre NHS or private. If you are private you get to speak to the Consultant straight awa. These 'doctors should be up in court. All immoral and money grabbing over care. Do you really want someone looking after you when you have cancer who's only interested d in status and money? If no, then go elsewhere.
