Our first time going on the bank holiday Sunday which happened to be members day. Everyone was so welcoming and had a really nice vibe. We had our two children with us and they had great fun on the bouncy castle and we were entertained by the great bands that were on. We will definitely be returning.

Brilliant prices, lovely people. Feels like one big family. Has a lot going on like bingo nights and such, has an amazing function room for events with a bouncy castle you can hire. Really recommend.

The problem at this venue over parking has gotten out of hand. Loyal customers getting shafted by £170 parking charges month after month while the operators do nothing to put the injustices to rights. You'd think the place was run by Paula Vennels.
I suggest all those affected by this get together for a ###protest outside the Barrow On Soar Conservative Club. I can invite a reporter from the Leicester Mercury to photograph the protest, so bring a good placard and dress for the ocassion. Let's do this after the election so we can also invite our MP. We could raise a small fund to get a solicitor. It only costs £75 to take them to small claims court. We can all start by writing down an account of the event and keeping any evidence. Search the hashtag for more on how to join the protest group.

I attended a funeral wake. It was a perfect place to hold it. The service, food and seating was just perfect. I wished l lived in Barrow on Soar as I would make my visits more regular

Hired venue for a party in the evening, upon arrival to unload and setup was met with member of staff who at no point stated that we must register our vehicle or of any time limits. Spent only 30min to prep the room however received parking fine and upon contacting the club they have stated that they can only cancel 5 a month and have used their quota for both November and have already set aside ones to cancel in December. Currently appealing the decision but this is an absolute joke and the club is not helpful or even bothered

The fact I even have to give a star disgusts me. DO NOT HIRE THE FUNCTION ROOM!! They do not even bother to advertise on any social media platforms that if you hire the function room you need to enter the club to put your car reg in to not get a fine. Nor do they inform you of this when you hire the function room either or when you are there. So your whole party will get get fines and they do not give to hoots. Very unhelpful and disgusting practice. I will be spreading the word to avoid massively!!!

Whatever you do don’t park here - they don’t even bother helping their members and locals that got caught out by their ‘great’ parking fine system using the club - ended up having to pay £170 because they couldn’t be bothered to help or even acknowledge our asks for help. Would rather go somewhere else and pay slightly more but be appreciated for our custom
